Neighbors Helping Neighbors In Cherokee County
Garden 58 connects willing volunteers, caring churches, and generous partners with opportunities to support children, strengthen families, and encourage and equip women in our community.
Garden 58 exists to connect willing hands to waiting needs
We're a Christian nonprofit based in Cherokee County, NC. Across three programs, we serve children falling behind in school, families navigating the foster care system, and women working to rebuild their lives. The work is relational, community-centered, and faith-rooted — and it happens because of people in this county who are willing to show up.
Our Vision“And the Lord will guide you continually
and satisfy your desire in scorched places
and make your bones strong;
and you shall be like a watered garden,
like a spring of water,
whose waters do not fail.” – Isaiah 58:11 (ESV)

In Their Own Words
“I didn't realize how much I needed a care team until I had one. Both the practical help and encouragement have helped my 'yes' to welcoming a child into my home possible. My care team is an essential part of my family's journey with foster care.”
— Jenn Forchetti, foster and adoptive parent

We Live Here. We Serve Here.
Garden 58 is rooted in Cherokee County — with a vision to expand More Than Enough and Good Ground into Clay County.
We believe the local church is one of the most powerful forces for lasting community change. And we believe Cherokee County has the people, the faith, and the willingness to do this work well.
Get Involved
Your hands. Their needs. Let's connect them.
Every Garden 58 program runs on volunteers. Whether you have a few hours a month or two afternoons a week, there's a role that fits where you are. Background checks and training are provided.
Give
Every gift is a willing hand extended.
Gifts to Garden 58 support all three programs — tutoring supplies and snacks for Pinwheel students, Promise 686 partnership costs for More Than Enough, and Faith & Finances matched savings for Good Ground participants. If you want your giving targeted to a specific program or need, each program page has details.
